I've got my eye on a '98 26X with trailer and a 40hp (?) Merc. The owner is telling me to make an offer but I hasve no idea what the boat's worth? What do you think? It looks like it's in good condition. I'm not really sure how to tell.

Try the "MacGregor Blue Book" link from the homepage on this site for values sourced from Soundings Marine Net. Also, www.BUCvalu.com gives a price range for boats based on condition and location. However, I've found that the range is usually lower than what you want to ask. You can always negotiate down! Good luck! Trevor
