Lancer 28's and probably other models as well come with a vinyl headliner that covers all the fasteners for the deck fittings and safety line stanchions. The same type of material surrounds the V-birth also. No fasteners attaching this material are visible. It's a complete mystery to me how it is attached to the hull. Does anyone know how to remove it without destroying it??

Good afternoon all. My 1979 Lancer 25 also has a vinyl headliner and appears to be attached along the edges with staples hidden by a rubber covering. The staples are fastened into wooden strips. I need to remove my headliner, stbd side at least, to route electrical to a new deck connector. My plan is to replace the staples with snaps to make removal and installation easier. Steve
