I purchased my E27 last year and now have noticed my achor rode is not attached to the boat. Any suggestions on where to securely attach the anchor rode?

I found the same thing last year with my E 27 My rode had a eye in the end so I put a Short section wood in it so it wouldnt accidently pull out of the anchor locker
