Gordon:The 310 has the 25xpbc engine. This may be a dumb question....If you close the the incoming thru hull, can you open the strainer basket and add the antifreeze at this point instead of disconecting the hoses and adding from a bucket?

Your plan is a good one. Where you have to be careful is after the antifreeze gets pumped through the engine, you have to get the water out of the strainer. Pouring the antifreeze into the strainer with the engine running does not let the antifreeze mix with the water coming into or already in the strainer.
