need to replace side light lens

I need to replace the side light lens for my 77 c22. The housing is fine, but the lens has faded. The housing is dome-shaped..Perko makes a replacement, but it is just a tad out of round for my housing. Catalina says they only stock the entire housing-lens assembly. I'd rather pay $6 for the lens than $30 for a rig I don't need. I have hand painted the lenses, but they are not nearly brilliant enough for the night sailing I plan. Any thoughts? Thanks!
