Just call me inexperienced but I have a Jabsco manual head on board with a holding tank and a pump out access on deck and need a simple how to explanation. For example: Do I pump water into bowl first, can I leave the water intake open when we're on the boat, is veg oil a good idea to add ( per booklet). I also need a new pump since the base is cracked, can I get parts? Thanks from Kennett Square, Pa.

I THINK you'll find all the information you're looking for in the article called "Flush With Success" in this forum...and while you're there, you'll find a lot of useful information in the others too. As for parts for your Jasco toilet, you should be able to order those through West Marine, BOAT/US or your local marina store. However, compare the price of ordering a new pump--which will prob'ly be a list price--with the discount price for a whole new toilet. You may it's easier just to replace the whole thing.
