I just bought a 1986 C-36 and put a Martec 16X10 folding prop on it. Have anyone else installed a folding or feathering prop on there C-36? I have not got the boat in the water as of yet, so I have no idea what to expect. If you have a folding prop, what size and speed do you get? Do you have any proplems go to reverse? thanks Bob

I have been using a Martic Prop on my C34 for 10 years with no ploblems. 1. Do not shift into foward above 900 rpm. 2. Reverse shift at any rpm .My C34 fin keel 6.9 Knots smooth water. 6.3 any other. Hop I was of help.

When I got my boat it had a Martec 2 blade and it was less than satisfactory 5.8 Kts at 2500 rpm is not so hot. and in reverse it was even worse requiring high RPM to deploy when docking I went bact to the factory 3 blade and it was an improvment but 6.3 Kts at 2500 rpms still left room This summer I talked to the folks at catalina and found that they used "autoprop" on there own boats. I plan in getting one this winter ( when the guy who designed my boat has one I felt that this was good enough for me. Dan Smith (Reunion #533)
