View Full Version : 400 MKII fogging of Salon ports

I have a 2000 4000MKII, and have a problem with the ports in the main salon area. There appears to be internal crazing as if the windows are old. Has anyone else experienced this problem?, If this problem didn't exist, this boat would be perfect

I would imagine something like that would still be under warranty, especially considering how new it is. That doesn't sound right. LaDonna
Let me know how you resolve the problem,as I presently have my 36 for sale at a Catalina dealer and am looking at a 42 and a 40------thx jsails@castles.com

If you have Lewmar Port Lights you need to follow their instructions for cleaning. They should only be cleaned with a mild soap and water. (No windex, etc.)If they have been cleaned with cleaning products / solvents they tend to turn green in color and glaze. The only cure I know is to replace the lens for about $20.00 a piece. Good Luck, Dave PS: They might have been cleaned with the wrong materials during commissioning, etc.
