The cable that enables me to change gears broke. It seems rough to go from foward to reverse, even slowing down in nuetral. . . any advice would be appreciated! Laura

Just changed my transmission cable.I have wheel steering and it was a challenge. Took about six hours,had to dismantal the pedestal. If you have a tiller it should be easier. If you have a pedestal make sure you attach a cord/line to the cable before you pull it back to the engine. If it's a Edson,I think they have an instruction booklet. There # is 508-995-9711 Good luck.
