I have a 1990 35.5 that uses a 1/2 inch gray flexible tubing with screw fittings. I need to make some plumbing modifications and can not find this in the catalogs. Where can I find this or what are the alternatives?

On the 34 that we have the plumbing is identical to the plastic plumbing that is available at Lowe's. It cuts with a knife and the fittings need only be tightened to the point that they don't leak. It is extremely easy to work with.

Is what it's called (I've never seen it spelled with the "U", like we were taught). You can also buy the fittings at Home Depot, or if you can go through a marine dealer, Lewis Marine Wholesale carries it. It is easy to work with, but pay attention to the way the nuts are put together (three pieces). I got frustrated with mine because the're easy to strip, and I'm gradually replacing mine with hose and hose barb fittings.
