Would like a larger drum though, for a little more torque to pull in the 150.

I called a sail loft and they had bad things to say about CDI roller furling units. Has anyone else had bad experiences with them? What happened?

to say about the CDI. I have had mine for 1 1/2 years and no problems. I have a 150% on it and would not be without it.

I bought one at the Annapolis show 4 years ago and installed it myself on my Mac25. No problems at all. I sail the Chesapeake in all kinds of weather and it works great. CDI is good on their word also as I creased the plastic luff by being dumb during the install and they sent me a new one at no expense in a matter of days. A guarantee against one's own inept folly is more than most companies will cover. Get one!
Ditto. Works great and would not leave home without it.

installing pulley in aft part of cockpit and running line through it. Gives it another ratio.
