Hunter 170 Center Board

I recently bought a used Hunter 170 (1999).I understand from this forum that the later model Hunters now use a heavier center board to improve the stability of the boat.Has anybody on this forum replaced their original center board with the heavier board? Is this worth doing? Is this a task for a dealer, or can you do it yourself?Thanks for your help.Steve

Then ask Crazy Dave Condon.I think best to talk to your dealer.Removing the present Center Board is not easy and when you get the heavy one. Whoa!
