Does someone have an idea what a Columbia 10.7, 35 foot will cost on the market? Are there any problems with boats built around 1980? e.g. delamination, osmosis or other problems? Any info is greatly appreciated.Kindest regardsWerner
I had two Columbia 36's surveyed. One had major soggy deck problems, and some other things as well. I passed. The second had one major problem, and some minor ones. The major problem was it needed the motor replaced. I got it cheap and have not regretted it. I have been in some fairly rough seas (30+ knott winds, 6-foot seas) and she took them in stride. I woulds not buy any boat costing more than $1,000.00 without a survey. Each boat I had surveyed the surveyor found many things I had not seen.Good luck.Cam

My boat is a cruising vet, but she needs a refit , engine rigging bottom, etc willing to sacrifice for 13,500 usd. bellflowerjohn@yahoo. com 361 793 6101 vessel lying in corpus christi area.
My husband and I are looking at buying a Columbia 1978. This would be our first venture in buying a sailboat. We are in love with the idea, but as first timers, nervous. We were also looking at Hunters and Catalinas. Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences (positive and/or negative) with a Columbia? Please HELP!! All advice is greatly appreciated!

I just recently bought a 10.7, turn key, I got a great deal on the single owner, 1984, cruiser. I searched for months until, 'she' found me...I am more than happy with my new home, enjoy...
