Just some info on the Cock Island Race scheduled for 2-3 June here in Sunny Portsmouth Va. I am thinking of bringing up my H23 and giving this a try. Any of you guys/gals want to come too?? Its a great race, but dont expect to do much sailing. Last couple of times we sent more time drinking and bobbing then sailing. Dont expect to have a typical sailboat race. You a multitude of boats at the starting line and then try navigating down the river while container ships are running down the channel. Remember these the majority of the people out on the water do not know the rules so dont force anything and go with the flow. Overall great party.
