I am going to be purchasing a roller furling unit for an '81 Hunter 25. Does anyone know the headstay length for this model? (I don't have access to the boat right now so I can't measure it myself) I'm planning to get a CDI unit, as I have had good expereince with them in the past. Does anyone have other suggestions or thoughts? Thanks in advance, Shawn

I have a 78 Hunter 25 and purchased a CDI roller Furler for my boat. The Cdi FF-4 model should be the one for yours also unless some one made some modifications. I had to cut about 30 inches from the luff. I bought my CDI from JSI sails. You shouldn't need a ball bearing kit. My CDI works quite well without it. It sure makes sailing alot easier especially when the ocean kicks up and you don't have to go forward and yank the jib down. Happy Sailing s/v Wind Dancer
