Have had problems in the past with leaking skylight. One Hunter dealer gave me white butyl tape to use for bedding them and told me to finish by caulking with a commercial grade silicone. He apparently is no longer a dealer and the skylights are leaking again after 5 years. I understand Dow Corning 775 or 739 is used but what is the method of application?
Some boats more than others seem to have leak problems with the skylights and ports. Our '88 H-35 leaked for ten years in all four skylights and after numerous rebeddings, fixes, etc I finally got them fixed. The techniques also apply to the ports.
