safely removing glue from sole

My recently purchased 1978 Catalina 30 had carpetwith glue/stick-on on the cabin sole. is there a good solvent that will remove this glue withoutharming the fiberglass? Thanks in advance.

3M Adhesive Remover works great for me and doesn't harm the fiberglass/gelcoat. A good way to do it if it is really stuck on is to put some on and let it soak in for a minute and then reapply and rub off.
