I'm curious if anyone has found a way to waterproof the light bulb socket in the bow running lights. Corrosion of the metal housing can probably be ameliorated by application of a quality paint. However, that does not solve the problem of corrosion of the electrical contacts. Any suggestions?Bob BollerBenicia, CA.
Well, I hate to say it, but the corrosion doesn't happen in fresh water. So,,,,move!Seriously, u can get a paste called No-Ox and coat the bulb base and socket with it. No more corrosion. Have fun.
It may depend on what year C#30 you have. I had the same problem with 74 C27, but the replacement fixtures from Catalina were sealed (bulb access from inside) and they did not corrode as fast. Combine that with the No-Ox gel and you may be OK.
