I'm interested in buying a Sabre 34 shoal draft model and am wondering if anyone has any comments on the performance versus the standard keel?

I have a 28' MKII with a 4' draft. In south florida you need a shoal draft. Performance is great and I consistently out race my buddies that have Catalinas and Hunters. I normally do day sailing in Biscayne Bay with occasional trips to Keys and Bahamas. Of course up in New England you may have different reqts. Also, if you are a serious bluewater sailor, you may want to go for the std. draft. Walt
