Peggy, Do you have any comments or experiences that you could share on the application of self composting heads in the marine environment? We live in MN and they are in used in many "up north" cabins and and work fine. It is my understanding that in Europe much more use is made of them. It would seem that with more and more no-discharge areas that this is a vaild method of handling waste. Any insights would be appreciated. Ron Williams

Are too big to fit on many boats except houseboats. They're also expensive: about $1200 including shipping. Check out the Sun-Mar composting toilets...their website is at www.sun-mar.com (Before anybody asks...incinerating toilets are NOT the answer--on ANY boat!)
