Hi fellow H37c slaves. Some time ago I saw an article written by some wise, and thoughtful H37c owner who had enlarged his anchor locker. I can't find the article, and if anyone knows of this article, please let me know where to find it. Thanks. Remember, if you're ever in Hawaii, come sailing with me.
I modified mine and can carry 2 anchor rodes plus extra anchors. I followed Genes guide lines "Rainbow Chaser" (see link here on HOW). Basicly I cut out the old well leaving a 3 inch drop on the front 3 sides and leaving the whole back that has the chain plate for the sta sail. I cut a new back that went behind the existing one and extended to the area in the hull that get thicker at the water line. Also at this area I cut a new floor all out of 1" marine ply. I glassed every thing in using West system and reinforced the hull wall a bit. I installed 2 pad eyes to dead end the roads to.
