Has anyone converted their tiller steering to wheel steering on a 1978 27"?, If so did you do the work or have it done? How dificult is the conversion? What advice can you offer? Thanks, Allan
Search the archives, this has come up a number of times. I have considered the same thing for my Ericson 29 and based on what I have seen here decided not to. If the boat has a tiller it was designed for a tiller. Tiller has better "feel" and is much simpler so less chance of something breaking. Also takes up less room in the cockpit.
