ODay 26

I have just agreed to purchase a 1985 model ODay 26. The boat look like it just came off the showroom floor on the interior, the exterior needed cleaning and waxing. Mast, sails, rigging, and overall condition of the deck and hull seemed much above average. Is there anything in particular about this model that I need to be aware of or to take a second look at. Previous experience is with a 1984 Catalina 25 Swing Keel.Ben AllenMontgomery, AL

Ben,Congrats on your find! A really clean O'day is sometimes hard to find (though of course all O'day represented on the board are immaculate, no doubt :) ) Has the boat been surveyed? I have the same boat and have had no problems for the past 7 years. The 26 is hard to find since they only made them for a few years, especially on the west cost.Herb
