I'm considering making an offer on a 1989 Sabre 34 Targa. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with past or present experience.

I have had a 1989 Targa 34 # 375 for the past 4 years and have enjoyed it immensely. Some Sabres have had problems at the mast step--look very carefully for rot. Check also for leaks at the chain plates. The fixed ports have begun to fog--will need replacement.Let me know if you have any other questions.Julius GutmanMagic Dragon

I own a young Sabre 30, it is a top of the line boat, well constructed with high end equipment. The Sabre 34 is a fine boat (as all Sabre's are) and an '89 will have aged more gracefully than a lesser boat. You will find more information and Sabre 34 owners at the Yahoo user's group.BobDhttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sabresailboat/
