Hull Number

I am in the process of buying a 1974 O'Day, Day Sailor and we can't find the Hull number on the boat. We looked in the upper corner of the transom but no luck. The boat was last registered about 9 years ago and it still has the registation numbers on the hull. Therefore, I assume the boat was assigned a hull number.
