I am putting my 299 in the water tomorrow and need to know what should be at the top of the rudder post. I can make what evers needed, but I have only a 2 inch or so post coming into the cockpit seat. It has 2 holes 180 degrees apart. I also have a bronze top fitting with 2 holes that attaches to the tiller. Can someone send a pic or describe what I need to make to set this up properly? Thanks,,

I just did the bushings on my S37. I had a machine shop make up some plastic bushings. I brought the rudder to them, they measured the post, I gave them the dimension of the rudder post tube. THey made them out of some exotic plastic they had leftover from another job but it is simmilar to Dexlon(SP?) 813 426 3549

I am sure someone has a better picture... but if not I have one of my project S299 when I bought it that shows the top of the rudder post with the fitting for the emergency tiller.(mine has wheel steering) Post your e-mail and I can mail it to you.
