Looking for a replacement for lower spreader for an Islander 30 Bahama. Tried Dwyer mast with no luck, wrong sizes. Anyone know where to find a spreader? or the extrusion? or if another boat uses the same spreader? Dimensions are 38 inches from mast to wire, 3.25 wide by five sixtenth (5/16) thick. The are two bolt holes 2.375 inches (2 and 3/8) apart.

Beleive Lefiell made the spars for the I30, at least the early models. Not sure if there was another manufacturer for the later models. http://www.lefiell.com/

Going to be measuring the mast hieght this coming saturday to better give me an idea what i have. Bahama 30 should have a mast length of 40 foot, mk ii has 38.5 foot. A Islander 36 has a mast of 45 feet for standard version. dont remember that much mast overhanging the boat while stepped on deck. It was 3 or 4 foot over the bowpulpit and 5 or 6 feet over the stern. But thats a guess from bad memory. Should put it around 40 foot, but why would someone add a second lower set if it the original mast?

When I rebuilt my mast I discovered SS mounts, aluminnum spreaders and SS tips. So Svendsens of Alameda recommended and made me SS spreaders. Now I have only one point of corrosion at the mast! Weight and strength was the same for aluminum vs SS.
