I am torn between a CD30 ketch and a Bristol 29.9 (30?) sloop. Which to buy and why? Beauty vs. function? CD heavier, classic Ketch design, Bristol wider, more roomy down below. Price, upkeep, coastal cruiser and some deep blue water experiences. Northport, NY. and the Long Island Sound. Arthur
for future sailings? How long would you keep the boat? Will more room below still leave you with safe places to hold on in rough weather? Do both boats have enough storage space? How many people will you sail with? There are many more questions that only you can answer. I can't pick a girl friend for you and you wouldn't expect me to so I can't begin to help you decide on a boat until you have defined your expectations.
