My Yamaha 25 has a Morse single lever engine control MV Control head with 33-C Red Jacket Cables that needs to be replaced. Has anyone done this with another unit? Morse sells a UP 452106 Single Lever Side Mount Sailboat control that they say suits 33C type cables. Has anybody used this control successfully to replace the old unit?

Before you do anything check the folks at Seattle Marine and Fishing in Seattle. When my old Morse control which is no longer in production got cranky the folks at SMF were able to find a brand new unit they had squirreled away in the back which greatly simplified the installation back onto my boat. http://www.seattlemarine.net/productcart/pc/home.asp
