Am think of buying a Hunter 54 to be used to cross oceans. In some of the stuff found on the WEB it seems that the rudder isnt all it should be in a downwind situations. Is this true, suggestion? Also the hull seems to be structurely all it should be, noted that some have add bulkhead around 6 feet from the bow in earlier models (81-83) and that in 84 Hunter did something also? Is this true? thanks all

H54 downwind- NO PROBLEM with rudder / tracking, Have sailed offshore ( race / cruise ) with excellent performance / stability and power reached at 18 knots in the SORC. Have 1982 H54 for sale- please e-mail ciiilbk@aol.com. and provide telephone # / fax #. Thanks.
