What size outboard for G30?

I am once again considering switching from inboard to outboard and wonder if anyone cares to comment on recommendations for an outboard. I generally only need power for entering and exiting the marina and the occasional day when the wind just won't get me home (very rare in this area). I am particularly interested in discussing sizing (HP), and power source (gas vs electric). Suggestions? Thanks!

almost anything under 10 HP should be adequate. Go with gasoline and not electric. It takes about a half ton of batteries to provide the same energy as a gallon of gas.
