keel crack n27

I found a crack on the back side of my keel, it appears there is some delamination on the starboard side. there is no water inside the crack, can I pour some fiberglass resin in the pocket and glass over the edge with cloth as a fix? or do I have to grind out the delamination?thanks

someone grounded the boat hard and the keel was tilted to the rear by force. I would gently grind the inside area so that I could see the extent of the damage and then lay in alternate layers of chopped strand mat and woven roving in polyester resin until I was satisfied that the boat was stronger than before the incident.
