Toerail or gunwale wood

We recently bought "Metapor", a 1978 Monsun HR31. We are doing all the woodwork and discovered that the wood on the gunwale is not teak, or doesnt appear to be. Will someone tell us if it is in fact Mahogony, that's what we think it is.Thank you!

I'm going to replace on my Monsun the old gunwale with an IROCO wood new one. Mybe yours is the same.
