Fresh water conversion

My Cat 27 has spent the past eight years in fresh water and now I have moved into saltwater. Her inboard diesel (Universal 5411) is raw water cooled so I am looking to retrofit a freshwater heat exchanger. Has anyone done this? If so, what did it involve and how difficult was it to do?Thanks for the advise, Patrick.
