Direct or easy replacement for a Volvo MD11C???

Will the Yanmar 3GM30 directly replace a MD11C?? If not the Yanmar is there another easily fitted engine for a Pearson 323??? My biggest concern with my boat for cruising is the age and condition of my Volvo. The volvo works OK but I am worried that it wouldn't last long cruising.
