Cal 36 engine v-drive

Does any Cal 36 or Cal 40 owners have a diesel with a v-drive installation? I want to replace my Atomic 4 gas with a diesel but I can't find find a manufacture offering a v-drive. Any advice or pictures would be welcomed.Jim

Many manufacturers offer a v-drive and it's usually just a different transmission configuration. My Westerbeke 44B Four is normally sold as a standard configuration but my motor was ordered with a v-drive tranny. From the transmission forward it's the same engine... Call Beta or Universal/Westerbeke and ask about the v-drive transmission options..

My CalCruising 36 has a Walter V-drive. Orginally a Perkins 4-107 or 4-108, nowa Yanmar 4JH2ME diesel.

About 12 years ago we repowered our 1970 CAL-34 witha Yanmar deisel and Yanmar vee drive. Absoloutly the best improvement we've done in our 22 years of owning KILLICK...no problems at all.
