Does anyone know the outside diameter of the cutless bearing? I need to replace mine in my P-303 and would like to order it before I haul out. Thank you, Charlie

Charlie, Did you ever discover the od of the cutless bearing? I'm about to haul out and it would be helpfull to have that information. Thanks Paul P303, #224

The OD is 1 1/2 inches, and the part is available from Deep Blue Yacht Services under part number BALE for about 40 bucks--one third West Marine's price and about one half Defender's. Charlie

Hi PualM, Did you see Charlie's reply yet? The OD of the bearing is Ø1.5". Check your prop' shaft for wear around the end of the stuffing box,...you can always shorted it which moves it away from the place it's been for the past number of years. Just a thought for while you are doing this job. Have you ever had any vibration when putting your engine in forward gear? Cheers Bernard
