So... I am getting ready to step the mast, and I figured I would change the anchor and spreader bulbs while the mast was lying on the deck. I got the anchor light without issue. However... When I popped the spreader light out, it instantly slipped out of my hand bounced off the deck and did a swan dive on to the crushed stone below. I though I had a pretty good idea where she went, but couldnt find it. I did find a few shards of glass. The question is, does anyone know what the part number of that bulb is? it is one of those "pointy on both ends" models. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Bob 'Kittiwake' Cranston, RI

Bob, From what you describe as "pointy on both ends" is called a festoon base bulb. It is common in many light fixtures and should be available at most marine stores. The 10W GE number is #2122. Make sure the contacts in the lamp are clean and are not corroded. That is a common problem with this type of bulb. Dave s/v ARIEL

I went back today and was able find one end of the bulb. It was in fact a 10w. Thanks for your help!!
