Hull id number

I have a 1973 Ericson 27 I just purchased and have a FL title. I am trying to register it in New Mexico and am having problems, due to not being able to find the HIN on the boat, I have searched the transom and cannot locate it, is it stamped anywhere else on the boat??

I never could find the ID# on my Ericson either...used the sail number instead.

On some models with a tiller, the hull number is stamped on the metal plate, on the cockpit floor that holds the rudder post. for example on my 71 E29 it tells me it is hull #54.Dave
